Billing in a Day LEARN MEDICAL BILLING IN A DAY
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
The Instructor, Loretta Ford, has over 25 years of medical
billing and
patient accounting experience. She has not only worked for
physicians and
hospitals, but has started medical practices and billing
companies on several
occasions for many organizations.
Mrs. Ford received her Bachelors Degree in Communications from
Lindenwood University in addition to a Masters in Human Resource
Management.
She completed a Mini MBA certificate program from University of
Missouri St.
Louis. She has hundreds of CEU hours relating to Medical Billing
& coding
guidelines and compliance. Additionally, she has taught Medical
Billing and
Coding at Sanford Brown and Allied College in St. Louis
Missouri.
Mrs. Ford’s experience in training Medical Billers, and Coders
expand
over 15 years. Some of Mrs. Ford’s trainees have gone on to
become Team
Leaders, Supervisors and Managers. Others have decided to become
Certified
Coders. Using basic methods that incorporate a solid
understanding of what
medical billing is all about has helped develop this one day
course designed
to equip someone with absolutely no prior medical experience,
with knowledge
and skills that can lead them into the field of medical
insurance and claims
processing.
When asked why she developed a one-day affordable course she
replied,
“Experience has taught me through teaching Medical Billing and
Coding on a
College level that after countless hours and after the thousands
are spent in
tuition many receive a Degree that may not recognized by the
accrediting
Board”. “With this course, my goal is to help participants learn
a skill
without spending thousands of dollars”. Many graduates are faced
with not
getting the job due to lack of hands on experience. Everyone
will not attend
college. Some may attend college but find it is not for them.
Others may
want some additional skills that can enable them to work in the
medical
billing field while attending college. Mrs. Ford went on to say
that her
goal is to give the participants hands-on training on completing
claim forms
required by Medicare and insurance companies.
